BISHOP WILLIE ANDERSON, JR.
Originating from Orange County, California Willie Anderson, Jr., always was aware of the presences of God. He was baptized at the Second Baptist Church in Santa Ana, California at the age of 12 years old.
He was called into ministry, as a young man, in 1982 at Greater New Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor L.S. Woods. Under the guidance of Pastor Woods, he became licensed to preach the Gospel on April 30, 1984. On the 27th day of November 1988, Pastor Anderson was ordained by the Lord through Pastor Woods and the Greater New Holy Trinity M.B.C.
Prompted by the Holy Spirit to leave Greater New Holy Trinity M.B.C., Pastor Anderson became an extraordinary member of Cochran Avenue Baptist Church, under the direction of the late Pastor Percy R. Hill.
Under the guidance of Pastor Hill, Bishop Anderson was allowed the opportunity to exercise his God given gifts and encouraged to preach and teach the word of God. It was during his time at Cochran that the the Spirit of Christ, began to tug at the drawstrings of his heart to start a ministry of his own. This vision was communicated with Pastor Hill, and as always, Pastor Hill was very encouraging to Pastor Anderson.
As a result of the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Anderson left Cochran. Prior to starting his own ministry, he contributed to other ministries. Pastor Anderson shared his gifts with Holy Temple Foursquare Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jesse Lee, III; and Fire of Faith, under the leadership of Pastor Rod Sutton.
Walking In Christ International was founded in February 2002. In June of 2004, Walking In Christ moved to its current location at 3707 Rosecrans Avenue, in Hawthorne, California.
Here Bishop Anderson, under the leadership of the Lord, continues to teach the people of God as they are growing in the knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and love of the most high God of creation.
Pastor Anderson devotes much of his time to his wife, four children, and God’s people; however, despite this, he has been able to mentor others as well as accomplish the completion of his degree in Stenography becoming a California Certified Shorthand Reporter.
Although Willie Anderson Jr., CSR, is a working Pastor he is very much readily available to the people of God.
Under the Leadership of The Holy Spirit Bishop Willie Anderson, Jr. endeavor to establish a community of believers committed to learning and having a clear understanding of walking in the Sprit and not fulfilling the lust of the flesh, Exemplifying a Christ life while we are here on earth.
We Foster a mindset of continuous improvement within our community.
Under the leadership of The Holy Spirit We, therefore, endeavor to embrace a strong commitment to the community nationally and internationally sharing, God’s, love with those in need of our time and resources.
